Masseuse/masseur is a health care specialist who provides clients with professional massage services to rehabilitate their physical and mental abilities, prevent health problems, promote the immune system and facilitate their overall well-being. In addition to providing massage they also prepare their workstation, establish contact with the client and gain their trust and take history, following the principles of professional ethics. A masseuse counsels and guides their clients, recommending seeking medical attention, if needed.
Training lasts for 2 years (120 ECVET) and the contact lessons takes place in 3-day cycles two times a month. The training also includes traineeship in the working environment.
After finishing the training one can work in spas, rehabilitation centers or as entrepreneurs.
