The main duties of the radiographer include the performance of radio-diagnostic and radio-therapeutic procedures, and ensuring the safety of patients and staff during the procedures. The radiographer cooperates with patients, radiologists, specialists in biomedicine and biophysics, and other health and social care professionals. The radiographer is competent to practise independently in all radiology related service areas of health care facilities at various levels.

The duration of study on the accredited curriculum is 3.5 years (210 ECTS). The curriculum consists of eight basic modules:

  • approach to the human being
  • patient care
  • study of diseases
  • radiation biology and radiation protection
  • radiodiagnostic modalities
  • radiodiagnostic modalities to diagnose pathologies of the organ systems
  • radiotherapy
  • professional and personal development
